Did you find it easier or more difficult to write from a different point of view from your own? Is this something you think you will do again? I was fascinated with how Goddess of the Hunt took on the role of a character. A lot of aro/ace people have been told, at least once in their life, that they’re broken, boring, or lying- I just wanted to vehemently oppose that and let aro/ace people know they’re worthy of poetry and everything else. I felt it was very important to write about an aroace Artemis because I wanted other aroace people to feel empowered, as strong as a Greek God, and deserving of respect and a whole story told about them even if romantic and sexual love isn’t top priority, or any priority, in their lives. Why did you feel it was important to tell this story? I adored your collection titled Goddess of the Hunt. Hey guys! Today I have something awesome to share with you! I got the chance to interview the incredible Shelby Eileen about her most recent poetry collection, Goddess of the Hunt.
